If any Pioneer reps are on this board or anyone reads this, the IPOD direct connect for the AVIC-N2 needs to be changed. Not being able to look at a list of songs is extremely diffucult for users, and many customers have been complaining. Why would the 5700dvd have this option but not the N2. Please change this on future models, many customers have been going with an aux input with the blitsafe plug that allows charging rather than the Pioneer direct IPOD adapter.

I actually just pulled my iPod adapter. I will use the Belkin car charger/line output for this stereo now. If you run a stereo plug to RCA adapter from the charger to the AV input of the hide-away unit you can get sound into the unit from the iPod and charge simultaneously. I will tap into my factor cigarette lighter plug from behind the dash and use another cigarette lighter plug socket to plug the unit into whilst hidden away under the dash. Then run a gold-plated stereo 1/8" jack to RCA to the hide-away unit until the software gets updated or another version of the iPod adapter is released. If neither is available I will just continue using this setup. I spoke to a customer service rep. on the phone at Pioneer and he stated he did not know if there were any updates going to be released from Pioneer. He said to wait after some show to see if maybe they'll release an update? I dunno, screw it, the Navi works great!!!
