mounting a flipdown moniter?

any specific wood and size i should use for mounting a flip down? and will sure grip adhesive or any other adhesive work well enough to hold the wood the roof without using screws?

You can use 1/2" , 3/4", or whatever tickles your fancy, but i use mdf personally. I dont use the glue but anything with a strong enough bond, hold and one that is forgiving with the fluctuation or the temp. inside a car (hot and cold) would be fine. I am not on for taking the chance there are other people out there that have used the adhesives which ones i am unsure of, But if you are going to use screws check, check , and check again the length and make sure you dont make the roof look like hell raiser, ( ive seen it done and laughed my *** off when the customer came out to there brand new Suburban  Installer didnt even realize he had done that while in a hurry.  But enuff with the rambling on the Aveo (Yes an Aveo and for all of you out there laughin im getting over double the gas mileage than my other vehicles) in the pic I went to the cross beam with 1/2" screws with the metal plate and had to cut the headliner to make it work, my what we do to our own cars  But do whatever is reliable and best for your situation>  Later AJ
