making an automatically actuated compartment

Hello all, I'm not sure if anyone here has any experience on the subject, but I figured it's worth a shot to ask.I've got a 1971 Volkswagen Bus which I've customized the interior. I've been wanting to add a separate stereo system in the back, which i can run off a second battery. (don't worry, my question isn't about hooking up the stereo)What I want to do is mount the stereo under the rear jump seat, so It can be completely hidden from view until I want to use it.Here's a pic of the seat:Here's a little picture I drew in MS paint, to give somewhat an Idea of how I want it to work:I'd like to just be able to press in on the side of the seat and have the radio automatically swivel out in a smooth, fluid motion. Then be able to press it back in so it locks in place. I'm not sure how I'd go about doing that though. Any one got any ideas?-Thanks

alright, I've been doing some scratch drawings and I think I've figured out how I plan to build it. The only base I don't have covered is the little piston that will make the radio pop out. I'm thinking of something along the lines of a car-hood piston; only way smaller, and not as powerful. Anyone know where to source such an item?
