Actuall it's loud, loud and loud. They can all be the same or it can be as different as night and day. It all depends upon the type of sub you get, what kind of enclusure you have it in and how much power is running to it (there are actually counteless number of other factors but i'm not mentioning them all). And these combinations are endless, no joke. You just have to listen to them yourself. For a "loud" sub a Kicker Solo L7 15" in a ported box is "loud". But so is a JL 10w7 in a sealed box. Limit down you're brand and style (square or round), size, and what kind of box you want or can handle. You'll get more feedback on that.
