A lot of the modding/hacking progress is on www.avic411.com
We cracked the pim format, can upload custom backgrounds and are currently working on the XM Logo Table.

Guys...

Just read every page of this thread... most of you are damn near geniuses. My first question is what happened to the rars posted on newsreaders? Only 1 out of 103 made it and only one set of Par2's? Retention is only about 20 days? Can someone repost them for the CND-V60MT East? Secondly, if I am following correctly... no one has successfully installed the V60 on a N1 and is still able to watch/nav in motion yet right? Has anyone even been able to successfully update to the V60 and still have a perfect working unit while NOT in motion? I have an N1 and all I want to do is have the upgraded software and still watch movies and nav while in motion... I am still waiting on a resolve if I'm not mistaken!?!

Go to POI search.  Press the button on the bottom that looks like north america.  Thats how you select your region on a real disk at least

so then wtf happened to mine. Damnit, i'm worried again. I love the new software, you are right, it is a lot faster and because of the new colour schemes, I can see it better while in the drivers seat.

How can I reset my unit to the point where I have to pick my region? I remember when I took my car back to Best Buy to get a ground loop fixed, my navi asked me to pick a region number that was displayed on a map on the screen. I had to pick number 12 I think for Ontario. When that screen was up, I was also limited to the same options I have now, so i'm thinking maybe I can do that same region selection again and hopefully that will work.

So anyone knowhow to reset the navigation fully?

SUCCESS!!! It was a bad disc that I burned. I had torrented a cracked version of alcohol 120% and burned the first disc. So I uninstalled that version and then downloaded a demo version straight from the manufacturer's website. Burned it again and VOIALA! All of the normal features returned. Thank you guys for all of your help.

As for the statement that said you have to mod your N2 to have the v60 discs work, that is false as my unit still isn't modded. I will probably try to mod it tomorrow.

The unit is a lot faster, routes are calculated faster and the new graphics make it easier to see the screen from further angles.

Thanks again to all.

From what I understand... isn't it "supposed" to work!! I mean that's what they are upgraded discs.. however the issue here is to have them work on all units and have the video bypass. Doesn't seem like there's much progress though.....ergh!

I have decided to try and sell my N1 so I can upgrade to the D1. It's a 2 month old Pioneer refurb unit and $700 takes it. I have the original box/packaging, and will include the 40, 50 and 60 software. PM's only if you're interested.

Thats not correct.  You cannot go to the CNDV50 or CNDV60 without the lockout affecting your N1
