smart starter kill relay 6402a

    Hi,.. I was given a remote starter kill relay (part # 6402A) along with the key fob remote. I want to install it on my 84 Dodge Rampage mini truck but there is no schematic on the outside of this 4 pin relay showing the internals and none of the pins are numbered so I am at a loss as to which pin goes where. I could not find this info in a search.  All I know is that it came out of a late model GM vehicle and the 4 terminal pins are located closer to one side than the other. I havent run into any GM vehicles lately or I could have removed the factory starter relay and test lighted the female terminals in the relay center to i.d. which pin goes where. Can anyone help with identifying these for pins? Thanks.

You pull the relay from your main fuse box usually under the hood and place the new one in there. 1. The vehicle must NOT be running. 2. Disconnect or pull the factory immobilization relay from the vehicle. 3. Examine the footprint of the factory relay and match it to the correct SSKR from the application guide. 4. Install the SSKR in the same receptacle that you pulled the factory immobilization relay from. 5. Wait 30-seconds to allow the SSKR to arm itself. 6. Attempt to start the vehicle. The vehicle should not start if the SSKR is armed. Note: If you do not have a transmitter programmed to the SSKR, refer to the ‘Programming’ section of this guide, program the transmitter and continue with step 7. 7. Use the transmitter to disarm the SSKR and start the vehicle. 8. If successful, place the factory relay in the glove box or console for replacement in case of vehicle ownership change. Programming Transmitters 1. With the SSKR installed in the vehicle, attempt to start the vehicle to verify the SSKR is armed (the vehicle should not start). 2. If vehicle starts, turn the key to the OFF position and wait 30-seconds for the SSKR to passively arm. 3. Upon arming, cycle the key from the OFF position to the START position 3-times and HOLD the key at the START position on the 4th turn. 4. While holding the key press button 2 on the transmitter within 2-seconds of completion of step 3. The vehicle should now start. The transmitter has been learned. 5. Turn the key to OFF and wait at least 30- seconds. 6. Try to start the vehicle with the key. The vehicle should not start. 7. Press button 2 of the transmitter (to disarm the system). The vehicle should now start. The wire I'm test'n isn't doin' what it's supposed to be doin'... I am so glad I printed that tech sheet, with the wrong info.

Do it right the first time... or I might have to fix it for ya
