2012 Dodge Journey Reverse Signal Circuit
When wiring a backup camera for a 2012 Dodge Journey, be warned that the white/tan wire at the BCM (white 48-pin plug "F") is a modulated 12V*, and it will not suffice as the Input Trigger to automatically launch the monitor, when the vehicle is put in reverse. The 12V pulse will only turn the camera on momentarily, and then continue cycling on/off, until the gear selector is moved out of Reverse. See video. *Also note that a DVOM may not respond fast enough to see the voltage switching, and it may mislead you into thinking the voltage is a steady 12V.
