f 150 power seats

Hi, I'm hoping someone here can help me. I have a 2002 Ford F-150 XL with no power options. I'm purchasing a set of seats from a 2001 Ford Expedition that has a power drivers seat. The seat has the controls on them and the pigtails coming off of them. My truck most likely doesn't have any wiring for the seats.What I'm wondering is if someone here can tell me what I can splice to get power to the seats without having to buy a GEM module. If you need any more information other than what I've provided, I will do my best to get it.

It will depend on whether or not those are memory seats, but most likely there should be 2 large wires in the main plug - one will go to 12 volt constant power, the other to ground. Hey, I just picked up the seats. The plug does have two 14g wires. One is green and one is black. I've been able to sort this out and the black one is the ground, the green one is the power and the power gets routed to the passenger side kick panel and I'll be able to tap into the dark green wire there. That's the wire that normally powers the seats, there is a 30 amp fuse in the power distribution box under the hood for the seats.

Excellent - just be sure that dk. green in the pass. kick is the exact wire you want to connect to - it should show 12V until you pull that 30A fuse.C Renner's Auto Electronix
