I had a 562T installed in a 2001 Chevy S10 about a year ago. I never noticed this until recently that  when I unlock my doors with the Valet remote and the dome light comes on it does not turn off until 60 seconds later. Its hard to back up in the dark until it turns off. If I use the GM remote to unlock it turns off the domelight as soon as I turn on the key.I had a problem that the installer fixed a short time ago and I wonder if he changed some thing on the programming. Can I diable the domelight supervision because the truck already has that feature?

disabling the dome supervision should just be a matter of cutting one wire from the alarm module. all systems i've seen turn the dome off with ignition. there is a wiring problem if it doesn't shut off with ignition (alarm doesn't "know" you turned the ignition on). does the alarm system still arm and disarm with the ignition on?
