I have a 2009 Chevy Cobalt LT. It has onstar, cruise control, and steering wheel mounted radio controls. I have a compatible Alpine head unit to interface the radio with the factory controls, but i was wondering if anyone knows exactly what module(s) i should buy (swi-x?), and if i will lose my OnStar audio/function, or if my cruise control will be messed up as well. Please let me know if anyone has any helpful information! Thank you!

Cruise wont be affected, totally different system
i like the swi-x alot generally anything made by pac is of good quailty to keep your onstar you will need an intergration harness for your radio. is the alpine already installed? need a little more info to answer all your questions

i have yet to install the radio. i pulled it out of my last car and before i go ripping everything apart in a brand new car, i wanna know what im up against or what i may run into. so as the car sits, absolutely NOTHING has been done yet. id like to keep the onstar god forbid anything should happen though...do you by chance know what i'd have to go about/what module i'd have to buy? do you have experience with onstar?
