mitsubishi galant key imobilizer bypass

I need a imobilizer key bypass for a 2002 Galant. I have searched all my usual sites and can't seem to find one. I would apreciate any other notes from someone who has done a remote start on one of these before. It looks like there is a lot of room. I hope it will be easy compared to the firebird I just finished!!

All you need is a universal bypass module for this vehicle. They are very inexpensive to purchase, we have them for $ 20.00 shipped. Jeff

Where I am located a key costs $75 from the dealer, thats $40 for a key, and $35 to program it. The Bypass module from BypassKit.com works slick, you still need to install the coil around the key cylinder, but it will save you from having to buy a new key. You need 2 keys to program it. The coil that you have to put around the cylinder is actually just a loop that you have to twist and fold in order to get it to go three times around the cylinder, and it is a generic loop that they use for all of the bypass modules that do not require a key. I was unable to get the factory immobilizer Unit back over the bypass coil because it is too thick, so I had to use the coil from a universal bypass modules which works really slick. You can download the manual from their website for the PK-MIT, and if you order, make sure you have them send you the same coil that they use on the universal bypass modules instead.J Rilla

Jeff, What are the programming instructions? I have heard that only the dealer can program them unless you have a programmer. I also heard that you needed to get any extra keys from Mitsubishi, but if you have them I guess thats not true. J Rilla
