Hi guys

I have a gps receiver similar to this one http://www.tl-antennas.cn/images/product_GPS%20antenna%20TLC-1575.jpg and was thinking of flush mounting it into the hard plastic above the radio in my  96 sedona, (carnival) the question is how much of the device has to be visible to the sky for it to work properly?

Cheers Brian

The units that I've installed can be mounted below any plastic, fiberglass or cardboard material ( just not below metal ). If you have it attached to a metal surface, this will actual amplify the signal for the antenna.

Soooooooooooo,

Under plastic works A: As well as on top of plastic dash

B: Nearly as well as on top

Most if not all of the dash is plastic, the only magnetic surface I can remember is the H/U.
