A customer has an 08 Camry push to start with a Compustar remote start & Fortin Key-Override-All interface installed by another shop. His problem is that when the car is remote started (after sitting overnight) it will randomly reset his auto climate controls to 75. According to him, if he started with the key instead it would be fine. I read the bypass install manual, and they noted that the brake lights may come on prior to remote start (as pedal has to be depressed for smartkey button start), but his do not. I was wondering if anyone else has seen this problem? I have found info about Ford Fusions resetting in the cold (mostly New England and Canada), but nothing on Camrys. I have not actually tested the car myself yet. My thought is that with ignition/acc/brake circuits powered for a few seconds before start, possibly enough voltage drop during crank to reset auto climate control memory? Before I get into this and waste a lot of my time/his money, thought I would check with all of you. Thanks

it could be that the previous installer for the hold brake while start, insted of using a relay to jump this wire during rs, he could have use the status out from the alarm, used a relay and sent 12v to the line towards the ecm for remote start.

check if all ignition and accs are powered up during rs, and they control the blower/hvac system.

keep us posted as to whats goin on.
