I have an 09 Ranger XLT and just purchased a AVIC-X910BT Stereo/navigation system

Does anyone know where the pink wire from the unit connects to get the speed sensor pulse required for gps navigation. I'm told it is on the PMC, middle connector, pin 1, Purple wire with Orange stripe.

PMC wiring diagram/pin-out would be really helpful

The wire is there OK. I think I also found it inside the cab on the big connector under the dash where the wires come thru the firewall.

I haven't checked it yet but I'm going to unhook the battery then disconnect the two connectors and meter it out. That will only tell me if it is the same wire or not but not if it is the speed sensor wire. I don't want to take a chance and hook it to the AVIC-x910BT and maybe do damage to it and the PCM.

Just to end this thread--  I used an oscilloscope to check the PURPLE / Orange stripe lead on the PMC middle connector Pin 1 and it is the speed sensor wire. The PURPLE / orange stripe lead under the dash is also a speed sensor wire but the pulse disappears when the brake is pressed on this lead. It looks like Pin 1 is the one to use.
