I ran 2 wires to my starter, hooked to a switch. Cause my ignition switch went out, and my 95 gmc safari won't crank. At first when I hooked the battery up the starter was turning over. the wires were touching at the starter. I rehooked up to where they are not touching, and now I get nuthing. can anyone help me with this, or give me an alternative way to bypass the ingnition?

First, what turns on the car is not just the starter. I assume you know this and the Ignition, and accessories wire are already taken care of.
It is best to use a starter relay to power the starter than a switch directly.
starter realy. The relay on the diagram is not label exactly to your need but its the closest one i found. NOTE THE CHANGES BELOW.
The "from ignition" wire should also be going to 12V+ from battery.
the "from alarm" should be a NEGATIVE from your PULSE switch.
Any further questions are welcome
