Hi there, I nstalled a KDC-X494 on a 2005 Mustang and I'm experiencing big noise when turning on the head unit, the mustang has OEM amp, I.m using Metra 70-5521 harness, but it really socks that noise when turning it on, has anybody experienced this problem?, is there a fix? or is just me?, any help/tips will be appreciated.

hi,
a resistor inline on the remote lead of the subwoofer amp harness (blue/white) is needed. something around 4000 ohms provides good results. standard values would be 3900, 4700. if using the subwoofer outputs of the headunit, activate the low pass crossover if available (80 Hz).
