Hi
I am a licensed technician. I am getting into remote starts and my first project is a 2002 Honda Accord. Can i install the remote start without the use of a immobilizer bypass and without the need of another key in the vehicle at all times? The customer just wants a simple remote start with lock and unlock.
Thank you

If the car has a chip key. You will need a bypass to maintain factory anti-theft. There are ones that don't require a key. Check out idatalink or fortin or xpresskit for bypass options. I personally like idatalink

the cost of a key in box is only a few dollars cheaper than the data bypass. the Fortin honda sl3 is about 25 bucks, great bypass for honda/acura.
this car is very easy to do, everything is available on the driver side.
good car to practice on. take your time and solder everything.
