I am trying to put together as setup for a friend. The car is a 2001 Pontaic Grand Am GT. Crutchfield says that there are 6x9's in the rear and 4x6's up front. I can see the 6x9's but the front doors don't look like they fit 4x6's..... so I wanna take the door panels off so I can see for myself. Just so I don't have him buy the wrong size. I was looking at the door panel, but I don't really see anything holding it on. I see one screw under the armrest and one by the door release handle. I know there had GOT to be more to it then this..... OH and it has power windows/locks. Any advice? Thanx.Help with a 2001 Grand Am GT - Last Post -- posted image.

yup, speaker sizes are right. and remove the couple of screws that you do see, the rest of the door is held on by quick clips, just pull at the edges where the metal meets the plastic and it will pop right off with a little coaxing.

Speaker sizes are indeed correct, IF it has the Monsoon you might have a little confusion wiring the rear 6x9's. The door panels are held on by 3 screws, one behind the open handle, one at the lower part of the armrest and one hidden behind the red reflectors. The rest is clips around the edges. The stock tweeter is wired into the stock 4x6, with an inline passive filter.
