Hi all,
I need the wiring colour codes (and locations) to wire an alarm for a 1992 Toyota Soarer (twin turbo model).
Any help would be appreciated.

Having said that its really very easy.
But from your questions, don't even attempt it yourself...locations?

The only thing that might be close is the 1992 - 1994 Lexus SC300.  It had the non-turbo 2JZ-GE

engine and I believe the instrument panel is very different but for a basic alarm system these

Apologies, 2 excuses this, time,
1) It was only sold in the UK as a grey import and then as a Soarer. Yes it was ONLY sold in North America as a coupe.
2) Kregg knows the second reason I can't get my thinking cap on.
There's no electrical reason for the two to be different. The Lexus had leather chairs, possibly better carpet and audio.
Ditto engines. The 4cyl V 8cyl will be the same at the ignition switch you'll need to do a turbo timer option for the 4cyl.
Trouble is I've seen your previous posts so I still say don't try it yourself.
I don't know about left/hand/drive but the lower dash and especially instrument panel surround is a pain unless you pull the centre console.
Once there everything can be hard wired.

- no variation of the soarer came with a 4cyl.
- electrically the are very different. The I6 shares nothing with the v8.
- the soarer encompasses all versions of the car. A few select variations were also made as RHD and badged lexus.
Just wanted to clean up all the useless misinformation.
So far I have checked the wiring diagrams from the lexus sc400, and the colour codes do not line up with the JZZ30.
Kreg, thank you, the sc300 wiring information is not to far off from the 1jz-gte equiped soarer I have. I should be able to get it done when I have the dash out. Cheers.

!) Soarer only sold in the US and possibly Germany as a Lexus Coupe.
All right hand drives, Japan and UK grey import were Soarers.
My friend rebadged some Soarers as Lexus and the trading standards people successfully prosecuted him.
As far as I remember they were either available with the 2.5 4 cylinder turbo or a 4.0 Litre V8.
From the point of what you intend to do the ELECTRICAL work would be identical, except for maybe a turbo timer for your version.
From the point of view of wiring up, it's a very simple car, locks, lights, ignition, window close mirror fold etc.
From the point of view of accessing under dash, through the bulkhead it's very fiddly.

My apologies, I was wrong about the smaller engines, they were 6 cylinder, 2.5 and 3.0L.
It's been a good 15 years since I've worked on them.
It still doesn't change any other factors though.

it is very fiddly with the dash still there, I feel like I am going to throw out my back, got so frustrating.
Electrically, its not the same at all, the colour codes are not lining up between the lexus v8 (LHD) and the soarer i6 2.5 tt(RHD), but the lexus I6 3.0 (LHD) is fairly similar

Throw away the colour codes and test and verify, much quicker, you're going to the ignition switch, steering column or driver's floor loom, driver kick panel, trunk trigger wire (driver's floor loom or follow it from the rear) and through (carefully) to the engine bay.
As I said a PITA to get under dash but the electrics are pretty simple. Remember 2 x ignition wires.
I used to do one every 2 weeks but that was at least 10 years ago when there were no crib sheets.
