long time lurker, this forum has helped with many an install... finally have a question thats making my eyes bleed looking for the solution.
little background, 65 nova with an avital 5303 2 way remote start alarm, i believe the installer was blind and had no thumbs. nor a brain. the remote start was hooked up to a 5 spd car with NO safety features to speak of... worst part was, seller didnt tell me it was hooked up. my bad for assuming that nobody is that stupid. luckily, nothing/nobody was hurt other than my pride as the r.s. button got stuck in my pocket and the nova slowly lurched itself across the parking lot.its now disconnected. i am by no means new to this game, ive been building custom stereos for 15 years, and have done a few dozen alarms over the years... most of which were simple installs.
so this nova has shaved door handles, and no interior handle to speak of (really, who does that?!!?) while i source parts, and prepare to build a complete wire harness, custom dash and so on... i need a temporary solution. i was thinking momentary switches added to the door popper circuit. well this worked in my head, add a couple diodes and wire in a momentary to control the relay alongside the alarm. well the current relay wiring has me a lil stumped here. i cant recall ever working with a normally closed trigger, if i did it was long ago! so can someone help me with adding a second trigger to the setup below?

Use this:- door_pull.bmp
The aux source from the R/S is NEG by the way so wire your switch that way. The diodes (1N4004)are MANDATORY otherwise it won't work and you WILL fry the R/S.
