Help! Need wiring diagram for 99 sunfire

Help me please. I picked up a wiring harness for my sunfire with a clarion deck but the colours really dont match between the harness and the wires coming from the car which were attached to the factory radio. I've done 3 installs on various vehicles before and the colours always matched, so I dont know why these dont match. Any diagram would be greatly appreciated. Thanx.

I too have a clarion deck in my 98 sunfire. The harness wires don't match the factory.  This is common because the factory to deck harness adaptor is a genaric plug and not deck to vechicle specific. 

Take a DMM and just test your wires from your harness before ripping into everything but this is what it should be from the factory harness.  Now look at your deck adaptor harness and just follow the wires through.  Should be no prob. if you have done other decks before.  Make sure you have your DIN adaptor.  Sunfire is a 1 1/2 DIN  so it's a hair bigger than your deck.

On your Deck the wire colors may be different.  But it's pretty basic. I have seen the constant and iginition wire colors reversed this is common.  Plug it in and test w/o crimping this is the best way to test this out.   If you are having trouble matching your speakers up your deck should most definatly be marked.  If not go back to the user manual or online to check the deck specs.  but your best bet is to tie everything together w/o crimping then test.  Also follow through with the specs below from your factory harness then match them up to your deck. 

Constant 12V+ Orange Follow through and test if not the same wire color

Ignition 12V+ Yellow   Follow through and testGround (-) Black Illumination Gray Not used.  Actually not used on about 95% of decks.

Dimmer Brown Also not used.

Antenna Trigger Pink Also not used.
