Guys,

I realize this is waaaaay off topic but I need someone to point me in the right direction. If it was a Chevy product then I would know my way around but these imports have me completely lost...

Anyways - My son owns a 1989 Honda CRX 1.6 and has recently purchased a set of factory Honda rims (newer style) BUT the new rims are 5-bolt and he has the 4-bolt (10-100). Now the question; could it be as simple as finding a newer set of 5-bolt hubs from a civic (etc) and install them on his older CRX? Probably would need some new half-shafts but what else may be needed? Would an entire new assembly be needed?

If anyone knows where they can point me for the answer, I would greatly appreciate it.

integra parts usually fit better with a little less hassle... might look into that

You should be better off just buying an 4-5 lug adapter. Honestly it would be cheaper to buy 4 lug rims then it would be to buy parts to convert them to 5 lug with factory equipment, if even possible.

Thanks Guys for the input... I'll will probably get him to sell the 5-bolt rims and invest in 4-bolts instead.

the 5 lug conversion will set u back a good 900 or so if done right. get an integra type r conversion if u do it though.. the wheels better be worth it for u to invest that kind of money .. or you re going for a show car and want to stand out..

I think he should seriously look at selling the current 5-bolt's and get some other 4-bolt rims - it would be much easier. Now I can demonstrate the cost and/or the work needed for an Integra Type R conversion PLUS I doubt he would ever see a return on this kind of investment.
