Originally, fog lights were an optional extra, with a push-pull switch through the dash that had either one position (rear fog only) or two positions (front and rear fogs), but these are obviously old and not necessarily in great working order, even if one could be found.
I am thinking about using a radio delete panel that I have (Modern DIN-E radios are too large for the hole in the dash, so that will be located in the glove box), and mounting a momentary (on)-off-(on) rocker switch there.
I'm assuming that momentary is the correct switch to use, as I would like the fog lights to go out when the ignition and/or main lighting is switched off, and not come back on when the ignition and/or main lighting is turned on again?
From some reading on here and other sites, I need a latch relay to deal with the ignition control side of things, I think - is that right?
The latch relay would then power the fog lights relay(s)?
Also, if I wanted telltale lights on the dash (separate to any on the switch itself), I presume that I would power these from the fog light relay?
Any help on this would be gratefully accepted.
