I am trying to install a keyless entry feature on my truck, I have already looked at the wiring diagram. I found all the wires and i have the relays but still can't get it to work. I don't know if i have to cut the switch wires or the motor wires. I just tried tapping into them. Any help would be appreciated.

i just wanted to add that whenever i hook up the switch wire to the relay, the switch stops working and if i try to lock or unlock with the switch the lights dim inside the truck like if it were shorting out. Is there something else i have to do other than hook up the relays

It is a 96, and it is a kickback alarm with negative outputs for keyless entry
