), but I've done a fair amount of research, to prepare myself.
Here is the diagram for the alarm:
What I'm trying to do is wire the parking light output to my hazard lights, instead of the typical headlights and taillights. I just prefer this look because its more OEM. From my research, I need a relay to achieve this, correct?
I bought a DPDT relay and here's the diagram for one:
Am I correct with this wiring?
13 - Parking light output of alarm (Defaulted to negative)
14 - Ground
9 & 12 - Constant 12V
5 - Left turn signal
8 - Right turn signal
1 & 4 - Unused
Do I need to change the polarity of the parking light output? There's jumper on the alarm itself. I'm worried I'm going to blow something if my wiring isn't right
Do I need to get diodes for what I'm trying to do?
I'm also having the relay piggyback on the alarm's main harness. As in 14 will go to black, 9 & 12 will go to red of the main harness. That's ok to do? If so, should I splice into the red before or after the fuse?
I should also mention, I'm not using the remote start feature of this alarm. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
