2005 Gmc Savana 2500 van. I bought this van 4 years ago and have always had a problem with a battery drain. Now my kids have lost the remote for the security system. It has been sitting for 11 months and I am looking for instructions to uninstall the alarm. We are pretty sure it's a Prestige APS977. The last number is blacked out. It also has a remote starter. We are also unsure of what the box labeled bazooka is in the second image. Instructions For Removing Prestige Alarm - Last Post -- posted image. Simply unplug all of the plugs at the brain. If it had starter kill installed, it will still start without removing it. If you insist on removing the starter kill relay, there will be an orange wire on one of the plugs you unplugged, follow it to the relay. That relay will have 2 larger wires connected to it along with the orange wire. Cut those 2 larger wires and connect them together. Insulate that connection.
