Would this be a bad idea? I know the stuff is thicker so I would be worried it would keep heat in. any ideas?

Probably isnt the best idea in the world but it can be done. If so i'd make sure to buy a small fan from radioshack to keep air moving through the amp.

It shouldn't be much of a factor, unless you live in Phoenix or somewhere it gets really hot. If it does start to heat up then I agree with chevylove, buy a fan.

I live in wisconsin and it gets 100 here sometimes during the summer. I was going to run some fans through the amp rack anyway. ok, thanks guys. And I know the original coating on the amps was powdercoating too but not sure if it was different kind.
