I have a 2001 Mitsubishi Diamante with a factory alarm and I would like to change it to an aftermarket alarm. I'm installing a full competition sound system and need more protection than this factory alarm has to offer, not to mention I would like to add remote start to it. I've installed a few alarms before (not professionally) but never had to deal with a factory alarm. I'd like to just cut the plug off of the factory unit (after I find it) and use the wires there for the basic connections..ie..lights, power, ground, doorlocks, and trunk. Anyway, to get to my questions, where can I find out where the factory alarm is installed and where can I get a wire diagram for it. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
