i removed a remote starter from someones truck and replaced it with an alarm/start/keyless. i dont know who installed it in the first place, it may have been the dealer (dodge ram). im trying to find out what wires are for what. it is a no name brand starter. the only numbers on it are A816. i cant find anything on it. it has a 6 pin harness with the thick wires- green, 2 blue, red, yellow and RED / white stripe. it has a very small 3 pin and a regular 12 pin harness, i dont know the colors off hand but can look if/when needed. if anyone can help me to find out what wires are for what i would really appreciate it. its gettin cold here. the dials molded in the plastic casing say it was from 98'. thanks again.

It is going to be practically impossible to determine what goes where. Your best bet would be to post a picture of the unit and maybe someone will recognize it and be able to help.
