I'm still getting familarized with the different types of door lock systems, but I am fine with most other aspects of alarms.  So, any advice, or thoughts on the locking systems would be apprecciated. 

I installed an alarm on a 1991 Mitsubishi Talon GSX (all wheel drive, with a turbo),(It think the wiring may also be the same on a Talon, and Laser), this car supposedly has a factory alarm, but it is not being used.  Everything works except the door locks.  I wired them the way I though they should be, but I guess I was wrong, and so I disconnected all of my connections.(while connected, I did not try to lock or unlock the door any other way than with the remote).  Here are the details for the lock system...There are 4 wires connected to the actuator (the car does not have a lock switch, the locks move together, when one is moved manually, or with the key is turned in the door.)  The 4 wires do the following: 

1 is normally grounded (blue/red, on drivers side), except while the door is unlocked; then there is a postitve pulse  NOTE:  with the key in the acc position, there is a constant postive when you try to unlock, after a second of not trying to unlock the door, it goes back to ground.

1 is open while locked, (BLACK/ red, on drivers side), and grounded while unlocked.

2 have a constant ground (blue/black, and black, on drivers side), at least while the key is not in the accessory position (I did not check these 2 wires with the key in the acc. position.)

Included was a 415M from DEI to use if needed for wiring the doorlocks, but I did not use it.

I'm at a total loss on this one, I not only need to know what wires go where, but I would really like to understand this system.

The Mitsubishi, Eagle or Plymouth all use a normal (-) trigger door lock system. All you need to do is to find the target wires and connect it to the alarm or leyles entry harness. ALL aftermarket modules have a (-) trigger door lock output wire so you do not need to use any relays.

POWER LOCK------------BROWN / blue--------------relays right of column

POWER UNLOCK--------BROWN / white------------relays right of column

You do not need to go to the actuator by the locking tab, you can access the wires by the driver's kick panel above the steering column.

Thanks.  I'm not familiar with the car, didn't have a wiring diagram or schematic for it, and like I said, I don't yet have a solid understanding of the different locking systems (though I would like to)  I'm hating myself 'cause that was so easy.  In the situation I was in, how could I have recognized that those were the wires that I needed?

The only way you could have was to lock and unlock the door mechanism and listen for the ralys flipping over. At that point you can try to pin point where the wires are and test from there.
