CP Goose,
I had a chance to check out the wiring diagrams on this truck and the tach signal is generated at the PCM from the crank sensor and sent to the Instrument Cluster Module via CCD bus. I can't see any way to get a legitimate tach signal to this remote starter. Any more ideas?

Well, I checked out a few diagrams, and 2 of the 3 say it's a BLACK/ grey at the coil, but then the 3rd one says it's BLACK/ grey at the coil or the PCM. So I'm wondering if you can find the BLACK/ grey wire at the PCM, you should be able to use that.
Another thing you might be able to try is call Bulldog Security Tech support (800-878-8007), and just tell them you're installing a remote start (they might ask you which unit...or they might not). In the past, they were able to tell me which position at the ECM (in the car I was doing) the tach wire was in, and I was able to find it a lot easier.)
