I just bought 2- 15" Eclipse subs and can't find the specs on the eclipse site nor find there tech support email.

1. I know its a DVC but not sure if its the 4 DVC or 1DVC. The only thing i can read is number on the magnet and its 88150 TI DVC.

2. I also have a planet audio amp P225HC and will also like to know the specs on it.

Your subs are dual 4 ohm coils on the titanium sub, this means each sub is either a 2 or 8 ohm sub depending on the wiring method, and combined together are either a 1ohm or 4 ohm mono load on the amp, or a 2 ohm stereo load on an amp. These subs prefer a sealed enclosure. PM bberman for some info on them or myself, I'm a little busy to be looking into it right away. I'll see about your amp as well, sounds like an older model (or maybe brand new).

Planet Audio P225HC is an older model and is rated as follows:

25x2 - 4 Ohm

50x2 - 2 Ohm

100x2 - 1 Ohm

50x1 - 4 Ohm Bridged

100x1 - 2 Ohm Bridged

I found this site http://eclipse-car.freeyellow.com/Cat_Sub.htm about the subs 88150 Ti DVC. Am I reading it correctly when I see that is a 3.1 + 3.1 voice coils? Is this the same as Dual 4 ohms.

Basically yes, you must also remember that as you are using a speaker, it's impedance will be all over the map, it does not just stay at 4 or 3.1ohms.

So if I wire both subs in parrallel will it be OK with a 1 ohm stable amp. Cause if I wire both subs and I take the 4 ohm dvc i get 1 ohm but if I use the 3 ohm dvc i get .75 ohm. I just dont want to harm the amp.

Hey guys what does a line driver do? I have an audio control matrix driver.

You should be fine with an amp that is designed and engineered to operate at 1 ohm mono. A line driver can do many magical things to a system. They generally have a very low output impedance (improves sq) and a very high output voltage - this makes it much easier for an amp to make power, it allows you to turn the gain on the amp down, thus keeping out noise.

The Planet Audio amp you listed is rated at 2 ohms mono, not 1 ohm. I have seen them run as low as 1/2 ohm and remain on, however, but the noise level gets pretty high.
