I just got an Alpine CDA-7897 deck, the one with the motorized fantom face for my 2000 mustang. I was able to make all the connections fine but when i powered it up the face was flipping out but did not have enough clearance to flip out due to the recessed din pocked on the 2000 mustang. The radio needs to be mounted about a quarter inch forwards in order to clear the factory plastic around the din pocket. I was wondering if anyone knew of a solution to this problem or maybe a spacer that could push the mounting sleeve forwads a bit. Thanks for any suggestions.

In most gm kits there is a 1/2 inch spacer.  Check around at any local install shop to see if have an extra spacer laying around.  This should fix your problem.
Do it right the first time
