I am looking for something that will delay the interior lights like 30sec to 1 minute after you shut the door.
For example, lets say I have a switch connected to a light that runs to a 12 volt source. I turn the switch to the off postition to shut off the light, but would like the light to stay on for 30 seconds. What would I need to do that? Like a relay?

You would need something like a pulse timer(DEI 528t) which you can find for about $30. I am not quite sure what exactly you are trying to do with that switch and what kinda car it is so I couldn't tell you exactly how you would have to hook that up.

you can really use any timer for the LEDs to stay on for 30 seconds (or a different duration). If you are comfortable with soldering irons, the 555 timer would be a great thing to use since it has lots of tweaking capabilities in regards to timing.
