Hey guys,

I'm about to install a remote start / alarm / keyless entry system in a friend's s10 blazer.  In the install bay here there are two different wiring diagrams.  One of them says that the door locks are reverse polarity, and the other one says that they are positive trigger.  Has anyone installed a keyless entry system on one of these vehicles before?  Please let me know which one it is.

Thanks guys!

-Bob

If the vehicle has factory keyless entry the door lock system is a three wire positive trigger system. If it doesn't have factory keyless it's a polarity reversal system. Check the sticker in the glove box for the option code AUO. This is the code for factory keyless.

2-door vehicles are 5-wire (type C), 4-door vehicles are 3-wire positive (type A).
