I had almost finished installing an Ungo ms2005 into a '92 Firebird.  The last part I was finishing up was the shock sensor.  Everything worked.  The features functional were: Remote door lock/unlock, ignithion door lock/unlock, flashing LED, Dome light supervision, parking light flash, trunk release, and remote start.

Upon hookup of the shock sensor, for whatever reason (probably coincidence), remote start stopped working as well as the flashing parking lights, as well as the shock sensor.  After unplugging the wire harness and checking for loose connections, and then replacing it, the doors would now not unlock by remote or ignition (lock still worked).  After careful checks of the 12 volt power wires (yes there are two for some reason I am not sure of) to the onboard relays, I gave up.  However, I tested to make sure the alarm still went off when the door was opened.  This worked, and by setting the alarm off, I somehow reenergized the unlock and shock sensor functions which now work fine again.

So I believe that there is a problem somewhere with the onboard relay hookups.  By the way I have checked all fuses and they are fine.

Any ideas? This is very frustrating since I had everything working fine at one point.  Thanks for any help.

Scott

By any chance did you hook up the all the connections then replace the fuses from the RS or did you just plug and play?

The reason im asking is the same reason that you remove the battery post or the fuse from a car amp the purpose is the same so there is not short or spark. I would unhook the whole alarm again and take off the battery terminal and then plug the alarm brain back in and then hook the battery back up and see if that clears your problem other wise you may have a fried onboard relays....which im not hoping...

Thanks, I'll try that.

What would be the reason that I might have fried the relays though?  Just curious.
