I just bought two MTX 9512's subs, I also have 2 fosgates 1501's.  my question is, would that be too much power for the woofers?  I have an eclipse, I wanted to upgrade my sound system.  Now i have 3 DVD Punch woofers, and a 1501 punch amp running them.  they sound pretty good, but I guess i wanted something more "exotic"... do you guys think its too much for the car too? the sales person told me that I am going to break my back window... any input on this... do any of you have a system more or less like this one?

thanks

Wear hearing protection (safe sense) is all I have to say, unless you have a hard stop on your volume control at 2...

you can't ever have too much mtx9512’s and fosgate, too much? - Last Post -- posted image. but yes definately take it easy on your ears with that combo. hearing loss isn't something you might want to try and get on purpose. but have fun!

I have seen 9500 take 1500 watts rms and laugh about it. You shouldnt have a  problem as long as the amps are set correctly. THE BOX IS CRUCIAL WITH THESE SUBS. If its not built right you could damage the subs with that kinda power
