My friend has a 2001 Chevy Extreme and would like to put subs in the cab. I know I will need to use a LOC for the RCA's, but he was wondering if we can still have all four stock speakers playing (along with the subs)?

yes the line out converter is wired in parallel with the speakers. You simply tap into the wires to get a single.
Car stereo is a way of life. If you don't eat, sleep, breathe car audio, you don't even need to be around it.
