{p}I have the rs 3.5 installed in a dakota rt and have run into a problem with starting the vehicle with the key. everything else is working fine except this. starter wire is cut and connected to appropriate key / starter wires from satalite relay. bottom line is the vehicle will only start with the key if I jump it making it a parallel conection. Any help would be{SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: Verdana; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Arial'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Arial'; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA"}{strong} {/strong}{/SPAN}appreciated as I am new to the clifford line.{/p}

Possibily a bad starter kill relay.  I don't know the clifford line but from your description that is what it sounds like to me.

try programming feature 1-11 off and see if it does anything, then turn if back on if nothing happened.  then make sure you have the green to the key side and purple to the motor side.  then check that the ribbon harness is plugged in.

Thanks for the imfo. The green & purple are correct and I also checked the the ribon harness. I will look into 1-11 programing sequence to see where it is at. Any other ideas would be great.
