i have a kicker solobaric 10 with a 1/4 inch horizontal rip in the center of the rubber surround. it is out of warranty so i was wondering what is the best material to fix it with. i have used a little bit of silicon in the past to repair small rips, but i didnt know if there is something better to use. thanx for the feedback.

Call Kicker and ask them how much to repair the sub.  I once had a screwed up MTX and they charged only 50 dollars for a new sub.  It's free to give them a call and you may ended up lucky and get a new sub.

Look  for High-end audio repair shop in your area. They will know of someone. A friend of mine had his done by referral through paradise audio, in town, and it still pounds today. Hasn't had a problem yet. It was about 1/2 inch puncture.

boom, boom, boom boom....
