Impedance - Last Post -- posted image.

ok one more question...got one sub dual 2ohms voice coils connected to kicker amp 350x1 4Ohm or 700x1 2ohm so I  have only option two...if I connect my sub like in pic 1 it's goona be 1ohm so it is not gonna work with this amp

Question is it possible to change impedance to 2 ohms adding some capacitor or smth cause I new here do not understand some things...so I can run my amp 700x1 Thank you

I think most use that coil setup when they want to run two subs...giving 350 watts to each sub.

Add another of those if you can, and you'll get your 700 watts, and an increase in db by adding another speaker.  You can't change the sub you have.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

Then trade the sub for a dual 4 ohm sub, so you can get to 2 ohms.

A resistor wouldn't do anything benificial, , it would suck half the 700 watts, , so your sub will still only get the 350 rms, , either way, your sub is only going to see 350 rms.

exactly. alpine guy is right. you can put a resistor  in there, but its gonna act like another speaker and take the other 350 watts. so you wont see/hear and gain by doing this. your best bet would be to do like stevdart said and get a different woofer.

also, what kinda sub is it? can it handle 700 watts rms? you might be better off with just the 350.

the only thing I have ever used and tried is a linear magnetic coupler.    but they rob anywhere from 30-40% or the power anyways
