I have a 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee that developed a turn signal problem. Left turn signal works when the headlights are NOT turned on. When the lights are on, the left indicator bulb burns brightly and steadily, the right is burning at about 1/2 intensity. Right signal works but the left does not. It doesn't matter if the vehicle is moving or stationary.
Any ideas before I start to tear the whole wiring system apart???

Sound like the two connectors on the bulb is reversed. One is on when you turn on your park lights (which makes the turn signal work on your truck. The second is for turning which is on constantly. Each of these have a filament and I believe that they are reversed.
Good luck

Hi..thanks for the tip....I discovered (not fixed yet) part of the problem yesterday. The
signals started working again. I found out that if I put the tilt wheel in the full up position,
then the left signal stopped working. Dropping it down, the signal started again.
That puts the problem in the connections or connector inside the steering column. When the
headlights are on, and turn signals are not, the left indicator in the dash is lit at about
1/2 brightness. That would indicate a bad ground somewhere.
Still looking but getting closer. I broke down and bought a Haynes manual yesterday :0)
