hi guys,

from what i've read after much searching of this site, I presume that I have 5 wire alternating 12v positive door locks. Is that so ??

I'm installing a prostart remote starter and would like to use the remote lock option of the unit. It has negative lock output.

I also assume that the diagram for this system requires that I cut into the motor leg wires and not the switch wires for lock/unlock, right??

Just  like to verify before cutting, thanks.

this is easy yes cut the switch wires and connect switch side of each wires to the pin 87a on the relays, and pin 30 will go to each motor side of the wires.,  pin 87 and 85 constant 12 volts 10 amps for each realy so if you use oe constant wire put a 20 amp relay on it,  than pin 86 is your input must be a negative input to work , do this and your straight any more help email me asap.

mecp certification is not always needed. I have it and it has not helped me out at all. my experience out shines it.

The easiest place to get to these wires is to remove the drivers side dash speaker.  Pull back the insulation and you will see a bunch of wires taped up in there are all your drivers door wires.
