I have a Sony XM-1600GSD 1200 Watt  amp it is 1-Channel Class D.  Basicly my question is can you hook up two subs to a mono amp.  I have two round kicker S15d subwoofers that are 2 ohm.

Yes, you can. Just make sure that the resistance of the two subs are no lower than 2 ohms when wired up . Digital amps do not like it when pushed lower than that.

Definately, although your 2 ohm speakers, when put in parrallel will present only 1 ohm to the amp. The issue with this is that not enough power is transferred to the speakers and the amp runs hot. Thus the power transfer is reduced and the subs are less powerful.

Its OK if you can live with it,
