Alpine DVA-5205 Remote jack input

I would be grateful if anyone can tell me if the "jack" input for the remote eye is mono or stereo? also can anyone supply a copy of the wiring diagram?

It's probably stereo with the tip of the connector being the remote output, the middle ring +5 volts and 3rd ring (shielding) ground.   I've wired up a Radio Shack IR eye part# 276-137 to alpine equipment before, but it disabled the other IR eyes on the unit.  I'd buy a Alpine adapter like navigation connector KCE-021N that has a Alpine remote eye on 1/8" stereo jack with it and plug it in.
