I've got a Ultrastart 4560M alarm with remote start on my Jeep Wrangler. I decided to add a field disturbance sensor since the top is staying off during the summer. I purchased a DEI 508D from one of our distributors and put it in today. The problem is that the pre-warn first stage output of the sensor is 500ms which is too long of an output for the Ultrastart alarm. It causes the alarm to go off instead of pre-warn chirp. The alarm needs a 250ms pre warn input. Is there any way to adjust the output duration of the sensor?

I don't think there is a way to do it on the 508. Is there another output from the alarm that is a longer pulse?

That would work if the 2 stage shock sensor wasn't built in to the brain. If it plugged in, I could try tapping onto the pre-warn wire on it. I am going to try a different brand of sensor. I tried to get DEI Tech help to see if they have any suggestions, but they will only provide technical assistance to authorized reatilers of their product.
