Bypassing a clutch switch

Anyone might know how to bypass the clutch switch on a 1996 chevy 3500 with a gas motor? It is a 4 pin connector. Any ideas?  I am installing a remote start in it.

instead of messin with the wires, just zip tie the button at the top of the pedal. Just don't leave your car in gear when you park...use the E-brake.

If you zip the the button how are you suppose to shift gears ?

First you have to find out what type of clutch bypass you have. There are several types out in there. Do you have a DMM or just a light tester ?

All that button does is allow you to start the car without pushing in the clutch pedal, not change gears. Everything is the same as it was, just now you don't have to push the clutch when you start.

Then how does the vehicle know your pushing in the clutch to shift gears if the clutch swithc is always pushed in ?

Lowron & Velocity Motors, You both are right.
Lowron, if you zip tie the clutch switch it will allow you bypass the clutch all the time, but if there were two wire on the clutch is ok. on the other hand, if there were four wires then is not ok because the other two wires are the cruise controller sensor wire. if you zip tie it then the customer will not be able use cruise control because the cruise light will come on but cannot lock on while the clutch switch was bypassed.
btw, there is no safty when you bypass it all the time. on the other hand, you cannot gurantee the customer will not park the vehicle without on gear when he leave your shop. this is a liablity issue waiting to happen, isn't it?
Velocity Motors, i agree with you to find a way to bypass the clutch before remote start. Remote start manufacturer said there were three or seven different clutch switches. you will have to find out the right wire than bypass it. zip tie the clutch switch had nothting to do with shift gear while you are driving. if you want a test then unplug the switch put a jumper on it and take a test drive, isn't it?

Just for the record the large purple and the large white wires must be connected to bypass the clutch switch, the smaller white and purple wires showed to be seperated when the clutch was pressed but wasn't necessary to start the vehicle.   thanks for the help
