the question is regarding the dei viper 160xv.
It is installed and working properly, however the unlock button skips once push every time.
as an examply, the first push on the unlock button will work as designed, the second subsequent push does nothing, the third push again works as designed.
Not sure if this is how the system should work or if there's something wrong with the system.
more over the lock button only works the first time. every subsequent push of the lock button itself neither triggers the relays neither tries to lock the buttons again.
any suggestions would be appreciated.
it's in a 90 LS400.

Some older & Inexpensive units use a "Flip - Flop" design for the Lock / Unlock Relay/s.  When you press Lock it will Lock once & need press of Unlock to flip it. Or another press to return to neutral.
Once you press Unlock, it Unlocks,  then press again, the unit returns to neutral.  Then you press Unlock again, it Unlocks.
Your vehicle may also have door Locks, that when the Lock is pushed once and Locked, it will not make any sound or attempt to Lock again until they are Unlocked
