Hello,

I am in the process of getting ready to install my system.  Before doing so however, i want to have insurance coverage in case of theft or damage, etc.  I contacted my provider, State Farm, and they will not cover an aftermarket system.  Does anyone know of an Insurance Company(ies) that will insure systems?  If so, contact information?  Thanks for the help.

Hi Kevin, check with your home owner's insurance company, even if it is State Farm. I know in the past your car audio system was under your home owner's policiy with them. As far as specific car insurance companies that insure them, I don't know of any.

You should check to see if your insurance provider offers "additional equipment coverage". I had this coverage through Progressive Insurance about 6 years ago. And when my system was stolen, they reimbursed me ( minus a $50.00 deductable ). Right now, I don't know if they still offer the coverage, but I guess I should check, for my own system :)
