I have a Clifford Supernova II alarm. The lithium batteries in my remote used to last years. Now they are dead in a month. My wife's remote still works fine. Is there anything I can do or where can I get a new remote and program it for my car?

Thanks for any assistance.

Remote needs to be repaired or replaced. They repair them in Canada.
You can also try : http://www.onlyremotes.com/subcat57.htm

Not the same product. SuperNova goes back a few years.

You have 489 LCD.

Turn illumunation and vibrate mode off.

Don't play with TX needlessly. Press buttons for no more than 3 seconds.

I chang 'em about every 2 or 3 months.

My remote has a vibrate function in it?  How does it get turned on?  As of now all it does is beep and flash the LED's

DOH! Yer right! The Python is LED not LCD thus no vibrate/illumination selection possibilities. Sorry for getting your hopes up.

Thanks. I have moved to Norway so I think I'll try the site you mentioned. If I buy the same remote, how do I program it for my alarm?

It seems they send programming instructions, so I'm on my way - Thanks again Big Dog.

Big Dog, I have a Viper 479V remote that's been acting up recently. It only receives but can't transmit. I erased all the remotes from the brain and tried to reprogram it but it doesn't work. Any ideas? Where in Canada did you say they can be repaired? Thanks!

We can't assume that it's the remote due to the fact that it could be the antenna. You can go to www.directed.ca and use their retailor locator to find a dealer near you who'd be able to test TX and antenna. You can also call their customer service line at 1-800-361-7271 and talk to a live person.
